How do I know if I have gum disease?
Gum disease is one of the most common oral health problems in the country, estimated to impact one out of every two adults, which is why Dr. Daaboul screens for signs of it at each of your routine dental checkups. Depending on what stage the disease is in, it can exhibit a variety of symptoms, including:
- Bleeding gums when brushing or flossing
- Gum recession, making teeth appear longer
- Chronic bad breath
- Tender gums
- Sensitive teeth
- A change in bite
If you notice any of these, contact our office to schedule a screening to ensure that if an infection is developing, it’s treated before it can cause extensive damage to your smile.
How is professional teeth whitening different from store-bought kits and strips?
Dr. Daaboul himself hand-selected KöR teeth whitening systems to use in our practice because they offer the most reliable, life-changing, and noticeable results, even for patients with some of the deepest staining.
Unlike store-bought kits and whitening strips, our professional in-office and take-home teeth whitening treatment offers fantastic results for those with discoloration caused by aging, tetracycline, poor oral hygiene habits, and consuming stain-causing foods and beverages. The whitening agents used are clinically proven to brighten teeth by up to eight shades within either two weeks or a single visit to our office.
Do you do wisdom tooth extractions?
Yes! Dr. Daaboul hosts a specialist to come in to conduct wisdom tooth extractions in-office for his patients, so they don’t have to worry about travelling to a different office to have this procedure.
Will my dental insurance cover the cost of a dental crown?
It’s important to keep in mind that every dental insurance plan is different, so there’s no guarantee that yours will or won’t cover the cost of a dental crown. That being said, many plans will cover at least a portion of the cost of this treatment, and our team can help you navigate your benefits.
How do I know if I need a fluoride treatment?
If you regularly develop cavities, even as an adult, or you’d like a little extra protection against decay, we’ll recommend a fluoride treatment for you at the end of your routine teeth cleanings.
What are the benefits of choosing Invisalign aligners over traditional braces?
The most obvious benefit of choosing Invisalign aligners over traditional braces is that they’re discreet and clear, meaning onlookers will likely have difficulty recognizing that you’re undergoing orthodontic treatment. This helps patients maintain their unique expression of self and professional image throughout the process, which is especially helpful for adults! Some other benefits you’ll be able to enjoy with Invisalign trays include:
- Eat what you want during treatment
- Shorter, no discomfort after follow-up appointments
- Easier to maintain good oral health
- Customized, comfortable aligners
- Minimal pain when switching trays
